In the evening we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner, again, the leaders did not sit at a table on a podium, but they sat among all of us. Talking interacting with everyone. They were one of us.
And then came Saturday. Various seminars, sharing, presentations. Lots and lots of information. I cannot honestly say that I have heard many new things, but what is amazing is the connections I was able to make. Call it the ah-haa moment or whatever. It felt like I had the puzzle pieces, but was not able to put them together. Then someone comes, shows you where to start and suddenly you can see and build the whole picture, image or your marketing funnel.
Every presenter had something to deliver. Value and so much value. I cannot pick one, which I could say: “That one just stood out”, because all of the topics and presentations had such an enormous impact and meaning for me. Anywhere from little tips on Blogging from Ty Tribble, collaboration from Mike Klingler, automation from Mark Hoverson or coaching cognition from Barbara Silva. Just amazing!
And then it was the off time. The time in the hallways, at the restaurant tables and elevators or the hotel rooms. Meeting all of the likeminded people was just precious. People with the same goal – to help others. Sharing tips, short cuts and various experiences. You cannot put that into a seminar or a webinar, that is the power of the human contact which this event provided. Safe environment for everyone to share and absorb.
Perhaps there are two instances I would consider to have a special impact on me. The first one was Didi’s story. Watching her videos on YouTube I always felt some sort of connections with her. I am from Eastern Europe just like her. So, I thought that is the connection. Otherwise what could be there, right? She is young chic, I am life experienced woman (do not want to say aging). She has all the freedom of a young life, I have all the joys of motherhood. That was until I heard her story. I couldn’t believe how parallel our experiences growing up and going through life have been. The obstacles we were presented with in our lives, but the “follow through” as Didi says, led us to where we are today. Thank you Didi for sharing your story. I truly believe that it gives many people the strength to keep going. It gave me the strength and motivation not to give up.
The second experience is not such a personal one, did not touch me on the inner level. But it is such an eye opener, that I consider it to be one of the most impacting ones as well. I have been working on my on-line marketing now for a while. Yes, I am network marketer. And that is where I saw the value and purpose of Renegade. That is until I had the privilege to meet and to talk to Patrice Walker. She is an awesome lady, extremely successful on-line, internet marketer, but she has never experienced and is not part of network marketing. She has a traditional business, just with a twist. She markets it on the Internet. I have been approached to take over my mother-in-law’s private Daycare many times for the past two years. I just couldn’t see myself being part of that. This weekend opened new ideas and horizons in a front of me. I can clearly see the vision of the future for this Daycare and most of all the on-line marketing possibilities. Thank you Patrice.
Well, that’s about it. Perhaps one more thing, a rather negative comment – it was too SHORT!

Network Marketing also called multi-level marketing is changing. Network Marketing is a type of business that can empower people. But it can also bring lot of frustration and disappointment if not done right.
Network marketing has been around for many years now, around 60 to be exact. It first developed from the old fashioned direct sales with often door-to-door approach. It was common to write the list of people you knew and then going to their house to share your product and tell them about all of the benefits of the business. Then as time passed by, this changed to the telephone approach. Calling people you did not even know and getting them to listen to your short pitch and then trying to get them to a teleseminar or a conference call about your products and opportunity. This was around the 90s, the era of cold calling. It might have worked then, but in today’s world, full of commercials, advertising and telemarketers, no one is interested in listening to your sales pitch and presentation.
But unfortunately or fortunately (you choose) times change. So, does the approach to this business. The old school’s teachings how to build your downline in any network marketing company has changed dramatically. The strategy of talking to everyone you know, they know and anyone you see is out. The internet today is giving us many new tools and ways to grow this empowering business right from your home.
Today the only way to get someone’s attention is to put yourself out there and take on the role of a trusted advisor, coach, someone who can guide others to success. If you want people to follow you, if you want people to give you money they need to see the value. You might see the value and benefits of your products, but if they don’t then they will not be interested. In today’s world if you cannot communicate the value, no one will see it. The internet is just another tool in delivering your message. When you deliver your message, you have a choice – you can pitch them or you can teach them.
Teaching, giving value through many different aspects of the internet is very easy. People will actually line-up to listen to you and join you. This is actually very simple. I am not saying that it doesn’t require work, but if you follow the basic steps and rules you will become a magnet. You will start attracting all those who are looking for work from home or those network marketers who are already in some opportunity but they are not achieving the level of success they would like to. This is the shift to attraction marketing.
As I said, with the development and the advancement of the internet, there is absolutely no reason that anyone in network marketing today should still be putting themselves out there, going through the frustrations of cold calling and the constant rejection from friends and family.
